I feel like it was a success. We all had fun. Even Jared and I. She had 10 girlfriends from school come--Jonah was in heaven!
Each of the girls brought a "number" to perform. It was great. I'm amazed at the confidence they all had...and how supportive they were of each other cheering them on. She is lucky to have such great friends.
Jonah and Luke were the judges, but Luke pooped out after the 2nd performance, so Jonah was on his own. I was worried that he was going to rig the thing so that his favored Sophie would win--but when another girl started doing back walk-overs and kart wheels he was star struck. This particular girl was given a score of 3,000...with a possible high score of 20. He was quick to bend the rules for the acrobat.
The girls made flip flops. They turned out pretty cute. They jumped out on the trampoline and had music BLARING--good thing the Christies live behind us--and the farmer on the other side of us had a big band in his pasture a few weeks ago that kept us up for a while, so we decided not to feel bad if we were disturbing him.
Jonah and Luke jumped in for the "Cha Cha Slide"...it was a hoot!
Today is the first swim meet of the season. I let Jared take the kids at 6:30 and I stayed home to wait until Seth woke up--and sleep in myself. I'm always ready to make sacrifices for the team!
I'm not sure how Luke will do...he still can't make it the 25 meters without grabbing the rope. I hope his relay team is aware that they WILL be DQ'd.
Have a great Saturday!
