Swim team is O-Va...

That's "over" said with attitude.

The kids did great this year as you can see by their spoils! Each week when they get their ribbons for the meet they would also give out a medal for the top point scorer in each age group and the biggest time improvement for each age group. Jonah got the top point scorer twice and Luke got the most improved twice.
Friday and Saturday were spent at the Boise City Aquatic Center for City Finals. It felt like being in Houston--it was so hot and humid inside the pool. We still don't have the final results...but our coach did tell us that Luke got 5th place in Breaststroke!

Breaststroke seems to be Luke and Rachel's strength and Butterfly is Jonah's. Seth can hardly wait for next year. I think we'll be able to get him to do freestyle and maybe even backstroke.

Anyhow...we have 1 year where we could have all 4 kids practicing at the same time so I'm hoping it will work out. Next year Jonah will be in the 9-10 year olds and have to do 50 meter races...he's already been working on his flip turns. Rachel has one more year in the 11-12 year olds and then when she gets to 13-14 they start the 100 meter races.

So we're all geared up to watch the olympics! Go USA!

FLip turns are cool. I love doing them.
Enjoy your mornings. And tell the kids to keep the volume low on the TV so you can sleep!

How great that your kids all share an activity/talent together! And, what a bonus that they are all so good at it. You are going to have quite the collection of ribbons, medals, and trophies by the time they all leave home!
