"We're not drunk...

we just left our 23 kids and 5 husbands at home!" Next girls trip we need to get t-shirts with this motto.
(Lest you think I am handy on the computer...I stole this from Sarah.)

I got back Tuesday from the best therapy session EVER--a trip to San Francisco for 4 days with my Texas peops! Only Carrie and Sarah are still in TX...Jane headed out about 5 years ago and Heather last spring. We have all been friends since about 2000 when we all congregated to lovely Tomball.

Anywho...a few months ago Carrie and Sarah decided it was time for a girls trip. They sent out an email to the rest of us...Jane got the ball rolling getting the first plane ticket and forcing us all to comply! ;)

I was the lone gal to fly into Oakland--everyone else flew into San Francisco Airport--so I made my way by myself via BART. I have to admit I was a little nervous at first, but quickly the adventurous part of me that has been hiding away since the early 90's came to surface and I got myself to SFO to meet my friends.

Sarah--soon to be "Dr. Jones"

Sarah got us a sweet house on Potrero Hill to stay in. It was a nice quiet neighborhood (until we got there) with many fun little shops and restaurants. My favorite was Chez Maman where we had the best crepes I have ever had! Even better than in Paris or Amsterdam.
I don't think I have laughed this hard since 1991 when I was on Study Abroad at BYU London in a dorm room with 12 girls! I needed to find my silly self again. I've been responsible for all too long.

So what did we do on our trip? Ate at the BEST restaurants, shopped, walked up hill both ways all around San Fran, rode uphill both ways across the Golden Gate Bridge, had treats at Ghiradelli's, thought we were going to die on a few cab rides, and just had a great time having girl time!
We all had jobs...Sarah's was to get us the sweet house to stay in. Jane was the photographer. Heather was the gatekeeper (the holder of the keys to the sweet house). Carrie was the taxi caller, and I held a map that we never really used. I'm tellin' ya the team work made the trip run smoothly! ;)
Our mugs from Anthropologie.
Our cab driver that almost killed us...

Heather on a stick!
Thanks for a great time ladies! Back to real life...

Hey Becky! You just got back from my neighborhood. I am glad you had lots of fun. SF is full of interesting things and interesting people! Did you run into the Bush Man?

We may or may not have acted drunk a time or two huh?? SO fun, it was a good therapy session. It's the 23 kids that I can't believe, what were we thinking? Kidding, sort of :)
