Since Kindergarten is half day and it was an early release day Seth's school started an hour earlier than usual. The problem was, I didn't read that part of the newsletter...so we showed up an hour late...at a quick feast and headed back home. Now onto the REAL feast!

Aunt Becky Day
I've decided that to secure the spot of "Favorite Aunt" I need to start having "Aunt Becky Day". Our first one went very well. Having had 4 kids with no family around makes me want to help my sisters out all the more...not to mention the cute little faces I get to nibble on while I'm doing it.

Halloween-a-palooza 2009
This year my BIL, Roy's parents invited us to come and pick pumpkins from their garden. It was such a treat!

Seth...the fortunate soul...gets his Mom and Dad all to himself all morning. (Jared works from home now btw...) On this day, at lunch time, Seth cut napkins out of paper and treated the 3 of us to a candy corn. He's thoughtful that way.

We did not put much effort into costumes this year, and I didn't even bother to take pictures of the boys...but Rachel went as a Krispy Kreme employee. Her friend Shydon was a Starbucks employee. They were darling...and Shydon made the aprons!! It's nice to have friends who have skills.

Cute little punkins...
These are my sweet nephews. They came to visit me one day. I love them.

A "Back to School" picnic...and a "Bear"
Isn't that pretty? I'm quite proud of this one! We had a lovely picnic up at Bogus Basin. It was our first...and I'm sorry to say MY last. While the scenery, company and food were FABULOUS...I cannot handle the drive up there EVER AGAIN. So, all y'all will have to take some good pictures next year and I'll watch the slide show after.
and Travis and Cael took a nap...
In August Jonah also recieved his BEAR! Woot Woot! He got to drink the ceremonial "bear blood" a rite of passage he's been looking forward to for some time.
Then the boys got to set off the rockets they had made the week earlier. It was a great activity!
I'm the lucky girl who got to go to Girls Camp!
I got to take these DARLING girls from my congregation to camp! It was a blast! This is the most impressive group of girls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They were kind to each other, and respectful of one another, and everytime I saw them they were with different people. They are all great friends. The best part was seeing how they all rallied around Michelle...a mentally handicapped girl who came. Michelle is 18 but has the mind of a 3 or 4 year old. They girls love her and jump in and take care of what needs to be done to help her. What a joy!
We were the "Tree Huggers". The best part for me was that this was Rachel's first year at campl so I got to be there with her. She clearly did not get the "scared of heights" gene that her dad and I both have!! I could not believe her!
Did I mention...
Not because I think anyone cares...
but because this is our only hope for any kind of a family history...so humor me. I noticed that after June parts 1 & 2, I neglected to post about the rest of our summer. Here is the first installment of photos...
We had birthday's--Jonah (10), Luke (8-baptism post to come) and Seth (5)...

And our ever loyal supporter...who was supposed to be ON the team this year, but was a little intimidated by the size of the pool.

And my favorite...my sweet Jared who was so patient and filled in all the jobs he didn't want to do because his wife was the team Meet Coordinator. ;)

The Fike's came to Boise for Sharee's 20 year reunion...it's always good to see Texas friends...the Fischer passed through too!!
