Have I mentioned I hate May?

I do.  I'm certain that anyone with kids in school will agree with me.  May brings tests, 6,000 projects, end of year programs, teacher gifts, recitals, sports...I could go  on.  I just want it to be done.  Can I also say how lame I think it is to have Kindergarten Graduation.  We are on our 4th Kindergartener and 1st Graduation--thank you Texas for not having the Kinder graduation.  don't worry, I am not planning a protest.  I will go.  I will be happy and excited for Seth, and if I'm in a good mood I may even take a picture or two.

On a more positive note.  We have finally received some nice Spring weather.  What a treat.  I am excited to get out of my house and start working on the yard.  Tonight is the Father/Son campout...the one redeeming thing in May.  Seth has been so excited.  He calls it Father/Son camp.  The only slight drawback is that they are going to the sand dunes to camp which means...lots of sand for me to clean up.  Oh well, it's worth the night of quiet.  Too bad I'm so worn out my usual, late night project/movie night will likely be an early to bed night.

17 days to June!!

I think kinder graduation is stupid too and I taught it! Easton's school does it so I'll be there cheering him on but silently rolling my eyes.

Ohhhh, I'm so with you! The only saving grace for this May is the beautiful days -- not too hot -- not too cold. Of course, the kids are in school, so they can't enjoy them.....We've got Kindergraduation too. You can't see it, but I'm leaping for joy...it's well hidden...but if you look really hard...
Hope Seth and Jared have loads of fun without loads of sand.

Got caught up on your blogs, glad to know life moves along crazily as always! I'd heard from our mutual friend in Colorado that there was some lucky little spirit on it's way to the Hansen family, congratulations. And I won't even ask about how your R.S. calling is going, 200 chocolate strawberries tells me the whole story. Oh how I'd love a nice long chat with you, but as for now, know that I send my love!

I'm in agreement too. The kinder graduation is a bit silly and makes me think of your conversation about all those trophies kids get just for participating. Ugh! May and December are about the same for me. They are both full and busy with end of school stuff and then I try to squeeze in time for both Daria's birthday in may and Dustin's in December. Ugh!
