I am holding down the fort while Jared and kids peruse the streets for good finds. I'm not sure how we will fare with the candy I bought. We are at the crux of the neighborhood, and one would think we would have the most traffic.
I have been careful as I pass not wanting to over do it and run out, but then a lull comes and I worry that I will be stuck with 5 thousand little packets of sweet tarts...something I don't want to happen either. I bought them because I knew I wouldn't eat them...
So then I start to load kids up and they start to come by the hundreds. It's a vicious cycle.
Jared was a good sport and wore the wig I bought him with the jacket and shirt I got him for youth conference a couple of years ago. Rachel was supposed to be a girl from China, wearing the dress Jared brought her back from Singapore...but today when they went Trick-or-Treating at HP he dress ripped. So she and Jared threw together a football costume. A dream of Jared's I'm sure.
So the night goes on...I'm always surprised at how many (young) parents have their own bag for candy. I think that once you've given birth...you can go buy your own bag of peppermint patties and stash it away where no one can find it like the rest of us do!

I am happy to see that Seth was not the Naked boy, that would have been a great family picture though!!
I love the costumes - glad to see Jared was a good sport! ( : I can't believe that there are parents who carry their own candy bags. The song "Ain't too proud to beg" comes to mind, and that's never a good thing.
Tell Jared I can teach him some of my John Travolta moves to go along with his new look. Wow his hair grows fast. ;) The kids look great!
We got a few parents with bags of candy too -- I think that's the first time I've seen or heard of that. It's crazy. The kids and Jared looked great!

The Spidey costume lives!!!! Remember when Jonah and Evan would wear them all day long in July? Love the wig on Jared........
