We went to the Eagle Days Parade...so fun! The kids got soaked, but had a great time. Next time we need to figure out how to get more water with us!

June part 1: Sophie's visit
The highlight of our summer was having Sophie P. meet Rachel at BYU Soccer Camp and then come up to Boise for a few days. We were all in heaven! Especially the boys--and my little nephew Noah has quite a crush on her as well!

I can't even remember what else we did around here...short term memory issues...but I think Sophie had a good time and we loved having her with us. She is just about the closest thing Rachel has to a sister. Lucky us!
We did go to the Joseph Smith Building in SLC and saw the Joseph Smith movie with her. That is a tough one to watch, but I love it!
And Temple Square...
We tried to go on a picnic to these cool waterfalls, but there had been a big rain and the road was washed out. Did get some pictures of the kids next to this old abandoned house...was good until an owl or something started to screech and then we all screamed and ran...
The airport was hard. I don't know if Sophie will even want to come back after the display I gave. Some serious ugly cry!
I think the girls are already making some big plans for the future...I'm glad they are still so close even when they are so far away.

My sons will be bringing home young men for Lydia to have crushes on. Nice to know your boys have good taste.
Looks like Rachel and Sophie had a fabulous time together. It's great that they've stayed such good friends.
Becky, your ugly cries at the airport have nothing on my ugly cries at the airport. /: I guess that's why I love you so much. Hope everyone is doing well.
