BUT...lest you think we've been project-less...think again! We got a doozie. But had a good time doing it. The third grade has a tradition of putting together a city. Each class talks about what things they would need in a city and then they each pick one to build. Jonah chose the prison. Maybe it's because we frequently remind him that he may end up there some day...just kidding.
Jonah's prison on the hill...
He and Jared worked hard...my job was on gravel clean up each day. It was an amazing sight to see the whole city complete. I have to say...I will look forward to Luke's turn. Rachel was envious of the attention and time devoted to this project. She pouted and told me that when she had to make a tv for class a couple of years ago all she had was a shoebox, some paper towel rolls and no parental help. I told her that she built more than a tv...she built character.
Jonah's house complete with diving board into the pool and a trampoline.

The good old turkey is making it's way cross country, how sad!!! But I would just like to add that tonight after you left the city of paramount display, kids were running in just to show their parents and friends "THE PRISON". It was amazing, you guys did an awesome job.
What a fun school project...looks like Jonah and Jared put in a lot of work (and I have no doubt that clean up duty wasn't easy either). So fun to get a glimpse into your happenings in Boise. Love you!
My kids school also does the 'build a city' project in third grade. Becca built an airport. I will say that your city looked way better than ours. Ours was way more flush with construction paper. Way to go the extra mile with the gravel.
That's awesome! Did Jonah's prison have t.v.'s like the real ones? ha ha I keep trying to check out your house in the pictures. I love it. I know it's your house when I see the triage corner! :) Love your cabinets! (yes, I'm nosey)
Wow! What can I say? That looks like an incredible project -- it's awesome! I can't wait to see it in person. Maybe it can become a permanent decoration in your home . . . a goal to attain if you will. Just kidding, of course about that last part, but I will look forward to seeing it. :)
Wow. no project like that will ever leave the taylor front door! good job!
