Welcome Back Little Friend

In our home the beginning of Spring is not marked by the calendar or the ground hog, but by the arrival of our little lizard friend.

For 7 years now he (or she--I'm not quite sure) presents himself on our bathroom window each night during the warm weather nights. I'm guessing the glass is a cool spot to rest his weary bones (?). Sometimes smaller lizards join...on occasion we will have 2 or 3 friends to say hello to.

Each year for the first few weeks they scatter when it's bath time for the kids. The boys cannot resist to tap the glass and say hello. But as time goes on they get used to the rituals and stay to entertain.

In turn we know when winter is upon us because the little lizard doesn't come back. We hope that he is well and will return the next Spring. So welcome back little friend!
