We are American Idol junkies. (& So You Think You Can Dance junkies too)
Last season Jonah and I made a poster so we could each cast our votes for our 3 favorite guys and 3 favorite girls. Then we watched each week and crossed off whoever got the boot. It was fun. Luke's choices were the best. He only wanted to pick 1 girl--and she had already been kicked off! You can see that Jonah picked the 3 "saucy" girls...we've gotta watch that kid. The talent scout that I am picked the top 6 AND I had picked Taylor to win. We can hardly wait for next season. Actually the reason for all of this is that I needed to take a picture of the poster so that we can take it off the pantry door!
Flu shots for Rachel and Jonah were today. Seth and Luke had their's a few weeks ago. They protest each year because they don't know of any other kids whose parents put them through such torture--the drive there is worse than the shot itself--but, Rachel HAS to have one (diabetes and flu = BAD NEWS) and it is best for us all to have them so we keep the whole house as protected as possible.
When we got to the dr's office Luke said, "Are they going to shoot them in the leg?" Valid question, but I had to laugh! I'm sure the people sitting near us were wondering what kind of joint this is!
I just spoke with Jared and he said his boss came by and told him he should go home--it was about 4 p.m. very kind of her, however, he's swamped. I told him it's kind of like volunteering to help with something when you know they already have enough help! I don't do that, I just know people who do! ;)
