So for anyone who thinks I'm exaggerating when I say I'm a magnet for chaos...
Seth and I got trapped in an elevator at Dillard's for about 15 minutes today. I know 15 minutes doesn't sound very long, but when you're with a two year old, a Latino woman who doesn't speak english and her baby...15 minutes is too long! It got hot very quickly, and she started to have a panic attack.
I pressed the alarm button for quite some time, but no one heard it. I finally was able to pry the doors open--then I scaled the wall and pulled everyone to safety. Okay, the last part was a lie. I did pry the doors open, but we were still on the 1st floor. When I told Jared what happened he said, "Well, at least you've seen Die Hard so you knew what to do!" He's so supportive!
To add to that--after standing in line for 10 minutes at an Elementary School--I discovered that they had changed our polling place this year, so I had to load Seth back up and head over to a repair shop to vote...of course this repair shop is about 1/4 mile from my house and I could've just walked there!! I'm taking a nap!
