Northwestern vs. Purdue

Saturday was tailgating and the game. We got up early to get to the tailgating and upon arriving Luke turned a greenish white color and told us he thought he was going to throw-up. So...Seth, Luke and I got in the car and headed back to the Zavaleta's (a 90 minute trip). All was not lost for me...being the "ever concerned for my children" mother that I am, when I saw that Luke was feeling better we took a quick detour to Long Grove--a favorite place of mine. It's an little old town with shops and restaurants. I wanted to try to find something for Jill as a thank you--and a little something for myself--but it was a quick and unsuccessful trip. Oh well. I got to reminisce.

Ernie and Sophie joined Jared, Rachel and Jonah for the game. NW lost and it was cold, but I think they had a good time anyway. Jared and I opted to not participate in the Saturday night bar gathering with his fellow classmates. It was way down in the city and we were planning on leaving early Sunday morning...AND we'd much rather spend our time with our friends.

After a fun-filled even of hot chocolate from Mexico and perler bead frenzy we had one last night of our extended sleepover. Parting will be hard in the morning!
