Tuesday--the Zoo and Graeters

Today we took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo. It was great. I can't wait to post the pictures. There was this Polar Bear that was swimming and it was hilarious. He would dive down below the window and then shoot up and push off the glass with his feet and then do it all over again. We must have watched him for 15 minutes...and he was doing it the whole time! The kids loved it. (And the adults too.)

Jared didn't make it to the zoo with us. He went up to Columbus for some meetings. The kids are having so much fun with their cousins. Matt and Suzanne have 3 boys and a girl as well. David (4½), Joshua (2½), Nathanael (18 mo.) and Lydia (2 mo.). We did have a 5:8--kid:adult ratio, so it was a pleasant excursion. David has followed Rachel around all day. He put on a white shirt and jeans this morning to match her, and then when she changed her shirt to blue he promptly went and found a blue one too. He told me tonight he "gets sad and wants to cry when we leave." It will be a sad day tomorrow. I hope we can come back soon.

Jared and Matt were sent out to get Graeters tonight. No trip to Ohio would be complete without Graeters. It is the best ice cream in the entire world! To my family: I will be thinking of you as I eat every bite! ;)
