It is official...the next 15 weeks of our lives are booked. Season 7 of American Idol has started and we are READY!
As usual we are a little behind. Last night we watched the top 12 guys and made our picks...tonight we'll catch up on the girls and then see who got voted off...assuming all the homework gets done. Sadly, nothing motivates me more to get my kids movin than some good tv watchin as a reward--that would be a reward for me not so much the kids.
Seth went ahead and picked his girls today. He couldn't wait. He also had a hard time this season distinguishing between the boys and the girls. Too many long haired men this year.
We've decided to open up our poster to any who are interrested. My friend Molly was over today and she made her picks...we allow 3 guy and 3 girl choices. Jared insisted on putting numbers next to his picks (1,2 & 3)...he has been informed, though, that this has no benefits or bearing on who the final winner is. My rules. And since I win every year anyway...I'll let him put whatever he wants on the poster.
As you can see the family favorite guy is David Archuletta...he is a cutie. Does anyone from BHS know if he is related to Michelle Archuletta?? Just wondering...

Boys: David A., Michael J., David H.
Girls: Syesha, Ramiele & Asia'h (I really am tempted to replace one of those girls with Brooke cause I really like her & I'm sure she's a MoMo...so I want to vote for the really sweet, great talent, good role model). Hmmmmm, maybe Brooke over Asia'h? I might have to sleep on this one. I think the girls are better than the boys this year for sure.
I'm all over AI!!! But I usually wait until the kids are in bed and THEN tune in! I love your poster tradition!
My favorites for the girls are Syesha, Asia'h, and Alexandrea, (but I also like Amanda, Carly, and Brooke)
My favorite boys are David Archuletta, David Cook, and Jason Castro (but I also like Michael Johns).
My money is on Brooke and David Archuletta. Maybe Carly........ Was waiting for the annual poster to make it's debut! I agree on the motivational purpose of this show. Nothing gets them in their jammies quicker!
