Luke decided to come 14 days early! He was my longest labor. I started having contractions at about 2:30 a.m. In the morning Miss Jill took Rachel and Jonah so that we could go to the doctor and see if we could have the baby.
I wasn't progressed very far, so they sent me home not believing me when I said that I would be having a baby today!
A few hours later it was worse...we went to the hospital. Again they didn't believe me, but told me to walk around the hospital. I could hardly take a step the contractions were so bad.
Anyway, 18+ hours from the start he was born. Towards the end of my delivery a nurse looked at my chart and said, "Wait, this is your THIRD baby?!" They had just assumed that it was my first and that's why they'd been putting me off.
We were so excited to have another boy! Well, most of us were. We don't find out what we are having, so after Jared went to pick up Rachel and Jonah from the Zavaleta's he told Rachel she had another brother. She cried and cried!
Once she met him she fell in love and has loved him ever since!
So a few things about Luke...
He is the most positive and energetic kid!
He is kind and a great sharer.
He is a good eater with a VERY healthy appetite. He is ALWAYS hungry.
He does not give up when he's trying something.
He loves to read the scriptures.
He is a peacemaker in our home.
