"We would live in a flowery meadow"

School is OUT! Not so much of a break as the 3 big kids had swim team tryouts this morning at 8. But...still a wonderful feeling to have the day ahead of us with no big plans. I am determined to enjoy every minute of this summer--whether I like it or not.

Yesterday I went to Jonah's class book presentation. They had each written a book about themselves and each child read an excerpt to the class and visiting parents. This is what my son read:

My life is going to be very different when I'm older. I can go on dates and drive. I can finally get a pocket knife.

After I graduate high school I have many plans for myself. I want to get a job and make LOTS of money. I want to be a scientist.

Someday I might get married. I want to have nine pairs of quadruplets and get married to someone four years younger than me. We would live in a flowery meadow.

My future is very bright!

I don't know where that kid came from. He certainly keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh...A LOT!

All the kids did well in their tryouts. Jared is very impressed with the coaches. The best part of it all is that all three have the same practice time! Wahoo!

Enjoy your day!

What a cutie! A flowery meadow does sound kind of nice sometimes.

Hopefully you can keep your sanity during summer break. And tell the kids good luck with swimming!

Have him read it again at the wedding dinner . . .

Those goals are great, I think my favorite was the 9 sets of quads, I know whose house you'll be spending a lot of time at! Also, that photo of Rachel is gorgeous, but she's looking too old these days. What treasures they all are. Enjoy those wonderful summer days!

I'm surprised he left out the dream of converting a short bus to a van in order to drive around all those kids. Hopefully he finds a very fertile & willing wife & more importantly, that job that will pay him LOTS of money - he'll need it. ( : I love that kid.
