So...the other day I was getting something out of the pantry and noticed a bunch of crackers in the bin of granola bars. This made me quite cranky as I had to throw them away because they were not in a package and I didn't know how long they'd been exposed to the Houston humidity.
Upon closer examination I realized that these were not just crackers, but that at one point in their existence they were in fact peanut butter crackers. I did not think much of it until this afternoon when I got the jar out with the "Ritz Bits" peanut butter crackers for Seth--only to find that they, too, had been stripped of their peanutty filling.
I didn't even have to ask who did it. I held up the jar and Jonah immediately got a big smile on his face. When I asked him why he would do such a thing he simply replied, "I like peanut butter, but I don't like crackers."
I told him that a better choice would be to get a spoon full of peanut butter and not waste the crackers. Oy Vey! What am I going to do with this kid.
And so you don't think it is solely Jonah who puts me through this...yesterday at swim practice Luke had to use the restroom. I showed him where it was and a few minutes later he came back. When he came back he shyly asked, "can I go on the grass?" I said, "Sure, you can go on the grass..." Not a second later I turned to see him RELIEVING himself on the grass. I thought he meant play on the grass. Apparently he couldn't get the door of the restroom open. Anyway, I don't think we called too much attention to ourselves when I yelled, "Put that thing away!!!"
Never a dull moment!

Every time I think I have the strangest little family of 4 on the planet, that no one elses kids do such unruly, crazy things like mine, I then get to read my friends blogs and sit back with a big sigh of releif that maybe all of our kids are normal afterall!
Love the peanut butter story!
