A Shout out to Jared, an Honorary Texas Ranger & "the wall of friends"

We had a slow start today...we kind of "hung out" until 3:30. A BIG Shout out to Jared for taking ALL 4 kids shopping at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon 3 weeks before Christmas! He has more patience than I--but that was never in question.

So I went to the gym and did a little shopping by myself. I was headed home...first stopping a Wal-Mart to get something for dinner...when I caught the tail end of an accident. I didn't see the actual impact, but I saw a white car dart into my lane and then saw the ladies car which was pretty mangled! I don't know what got into me, but there was a hole in the traffic, so I CHASED HIM! I probably followed him for about 5 miles...it was hard because he was going so fast. We finally hit a red light. I pulled up behind him and got his licence plate. He had very dark tinted windows, so I couldn't see inside.

I turned around and went back to a parking lot near the accident. The lady had pulled into it and was crying. Someone had stopped to help her. I pulled up and said, "Are you the one who just got rear ended?" She said yes. I asked if she thought it was a white Buick. The guy pulled out part of the buick's front grill with the buick symbol on it. I said, "well, I chased him and got his license plate #". She started to sob. I gave them the number and my name and phone #, and went on my way. I'm still not quite sure what possessed me to do such a thing. The opportunity presented itself, and I didn't have any kids in the car, so I guess I thought I should help out.

On to more important things...today was the highest grossing Christmas card day to date! Recieving Christmas cards is one of my favorite things about this time of year. Each year we put all of the pictures we recieve on the door to the laundry room...which means I see them several times a day. I love it! If you haven't sent a picture please send one! We love them. They usually stay up until July or August. I'll probably have to take them down in the spring if we do put the house back on the market. Thanks to all who have thought of us! We love you!
